Black Monday! Sensex crashes loses 1600 points in 7 Years

The BSE Sensex at long last finished with a tremendous loss of 1,625 points (6 percent) at 25,742. It's greatest single-day misfortune since 6 July, 2009 when the file had fallen 6.5 percent.

The NSE Nifty opened crevice down 245 points at 8,055, and soon fell beneath its mental 8,000-imprint without precedent for two months. The Nifty given way to a low of 7,769 and in the end finished with an enormous loss of 491 points (5.9 percent) at 7,809.

The India VIX (Volatility) file zoomed more than 64 percent to 28.13 - its greatest ever single day spike in this way.

Then, the Indian Rupee today touched a new two-year low at 66.72, and was cited close to the day's low starting 1530 hrs, down 88 paise contrasted with Friday's nearby.

The outside investors appear to be trading the fall in for cold hard currency Rupee, as they swung to be net vendors of stocks worth Rs. 2,341 crore on Friday.
